Electric heater for a small sauna
When choosing an electric sauna heater, several factors must be considered, including the size of the sauna, insulation, desired temperature, available installation space, safety clearances, and of course personal preferences. In a small sauna, special attention must be paid to the heater’s safety distances, and it is important to select a heater that delivers optimal performance for a compact sauna space.
You can achieve the best sauna experience in a small sauna with an electric heater, as long as the heater is sufficiently powerful. An underpowered electric sauna heater will heat the sauna slowly and produce weak steam. On the other hand, an overly powerful heater warms the sauna too quickly, preventing the stones from heating up properly and compromising steam quality. The Mondex Aura 6.6 kW is designed for saunas with a volume of 5–9 m³. Thanks to its corner-mounted design, the required front safety clearance is only 100 mm. This makes the Aura a true space-saving solution, an electric sauna heater that’s ideal for small sauna spaces.
A wall-mounted corner heater makes efficient use of space that would otherwise go unused. Because the weight of the heater is supported by its own legs, no load is placed on the wall. The Aura can also be integrated into the bench structures using an optional embedding collar. Available with separate control or WiFi control.

Mondex Ahti is a genuine and original soapstone sauna heater that heats up evenly throughout its entire surface, delivering moist, oxygen-rich steam even in smaller saunas. The key advantage of a soapstone heater lies in its ability to provide consistently soft and humid sauna steam, even during longer heating sessions. Durable stainless steel combined with refined, smooth soapstone adds a classic and timeless elegance to your sauna interior.
The Mondex Ahti 6 kW is suitable for saunas with a volume of 5–8 m³. When wall-mounted, the Ahti requires a front safety clearance of 200 mm and just 70 mm on the side.
The Ahti soapstone heater is wall-mounted, but its weight is supported by its own legs, so no load is placed on the wall. The Ahti can be integrated into the bench structures using an optional embedding collar. The heater features an easy-to-use, traditional mechanical control, and the operating switches can be positioned at the front, on the left, or on the right.
Energy efficient electric heater for small sauna
Mondex Teno is a compact and affordable wall-mounted heater that fits even the smallest saunas. Thanks to its unique spiral heating elements, it is energy-efficient and heats up quickly, making it one of our most popular sauna heaters. Despite its compact size, the Teno features a generous 40 kg stone capacity for a wall heater, delivering versatile sauna steam from toe level all the way to the ceiling. You can easily vary the character of the steam - from soft and gentle to more intense - by throwing water on the side or directly onto the top of the heater.
The Mondex Teno 6.6 kW is suitable for saunas measuring 6–9 m³. The safety distances in front and to the side are only 100 mm. The Teno is therefore a true space-saver for small saunas.
The heater is traditionally wall-mounted. The included wall mounting plate makes it easier to install the sauna heater without separate reinforcements to the wall structure. Available with separate, WiFi, and traditional mechanical controls.

Mondex Kalla is a wall-mounted floor heater that takes up only a small amount of space in the sauna, but offers the benefits of a large heater. Kalla is perfect even for a small sauna where you want to enjoy beautiful design and the soft, rich steams provided by its large 80 kg stone capacity. Thanks to the perforated outer shell, you can vary the steam quality from gentle and moist to hotter by throwing water on different parts of the heater.
Mondex Kalla 6.6 kW fits 6—9 m³ saunas.
The Kalla is mounted to a paneled wall, but its weight is supported by its own legs, meaning no load is placed on the wall. This makes installation easier and safer, as no additional wall support structures are required. The Kalla can be installed either as a freestanding unit or integrated into the bench structure, creating even more space on the benches. An optional embedding collar is available in both stainless steel and black finishes. Available with separate control or WiFi control.
Also choose the heater control according to your needs
The Mondex range includes heaters with traditional mechanical controls, with remote control and with WiFi interface. When you choose a sauna heater with either separate controls or a WiFi interface, you can embed the heater into the bench structure, giving you a bit more freedom in designing a smaller sauna. You can place the separate controller wherever you like – in the sauna, washroom, changing room, or even in a light switch box, so you don't have to crouch down by the heater. With a WiFi sauna heater, you can control it remotely using an app, for example, with your smartphone!
In addition to easy remote control, Mondex WiFi offers other convenient features for sauna use. For example, you can check the temperature and operating time directly from the app, monitor electricity consumption, and receive a reminder when the sauna stones need to be changed. You can also maintain a useful sauna diary in the app.
All Mondex E2 model heaters are also available in WiFi version and if you wish, you can upgrade your current E2 model heater to WiFi with a separate upgrade package. WiFi heaters are available from our retailers around Finland and online. All Mondex E2 model heaters are also convertible to be compatible with the new WiFi application.
