Kymi - modern wall-mounted electric heater with 6kw output
Mondex Kymi is a classic wall heater for a small sauna with a modern design. What sets Kymi apart from many other wall heaters of similar capacity is its perforated front, which allows for perfectly moist steam even in a small sauna. Pouring water through the perforated casing into the lower part of the stove produces moist and soft heat, while pouring water directly onto the heater produces more vigorous steam. This soapstone sauna heater is mounted against the wall, but as the heater’s weight rests on its legs, no load is placed on the wall itself. Like other Mondex soapstone sauna heaters, the weight of the Ukko rests on its own legs, meaning no load is placed on the wall. Ukko is available in power ratings of 6.0 kW and 8.0 kW. The 6.0 kW heater is suitable for saunas with a volume of 5–8 m³, while the 8.0 kW model is designed for saunas of 7–12 m³. Ukko features mechanical controls, and the position of the control knobs can be easily switched to either the left or the right.

Aura - an efficient heater for a small sauna
Aura is a 6.6 kW sauna heater designed especially for corner installation and is well suited for saunas with a volume of 5–9 m³. Aura’s structure is designed to take up as little space as possible in the sauna by making efficient use of corner areas that would otherwise remain unused. This allows the entire sauna space to be utilized without compromising the space available for bathers.
Aura is available in two power ratings, 6.6 kW and 9.0 kW, and in two color options, black and stainless steel. The 6.6 kW model is suitable for saunas with a volume of 5–9 m³, while the 9.0 kW model is designed for saunas of 8–15 m³.
Aura’s perforated front casing and 70 kg stone capacity ensure excellent and versatile steam, even in a small sauna. If you are looking for an electric sauna heater in the 6 kW power rating, a closely comparable option is a heater rated at 6.6 kW. All Mondex electric sauna heaters are available either in the 6 or 6.6 kW power rating, as well as in at least one higher power rating. Why is it important to size your stove correctly?
An oversized heater can heat up the sauna before all the stones are hot, leading to dry steam. An undersized heater will not heat the sauna enough and the steam will be sluggish. If the calculated volume of your sauna is on the borderline between two heaters of different capacities, choose a heater with a higher capacity.
But why do some sauna heaters with the same power rating suit different sauna sizes? In addition to power output, the structure of the heater affects the size of sauna it is suitable for. For example, the 6.6 kW soapstone heaters Louhi and Hiisi are suitable for slightly smaller saunas than other Mondex 6.6 kW electric heaters. This is because the soapstone blocks heat up evenly and exceptionally quickly, preventing the issues that can occur with an oversized heater.
