Sauna-heating made easy with a remote control unit. New Mondex E2 remote controlled sauna heaters now available.

No more climbing onto the sauna benches to look at the thermometer or crouching in a corner while heating the sauna. A remotely controlled heater makes sauna heating effortless. The third generation of Mondex’s remotely controlled sauna heaters, the Mondex E2 models, are now available.

A remote control unit comes included with the heater and allows you to easily control functions such as turning the heater on and adjusting the temperature. The control unit can be installed according to your preference - in the sauna, washroom, dressing room, or even in a standard light switch box, wherever it fits naturally in your home. The digital numerical display on the new Mondex E2 control unit shows the sauna temperature clearly, eliminating the need to climb onto the benches to check a thermometer. From the control unit, you can either start heating the sauna immediately - with a maximum operating time of six hours - or schedule it to heat up within the next 24 hours. Monitoring the temperature directly from the display is easy, and when you step onto the benches for the first time to enjoy the steam, you can be confident the temperature is just right.

Another advantage of a remotely controlled heater is the flexibility in installation: the heater can be installed either in a free-standing space or integrated into the sauna bench structure. This provides greater freedom in sauna design. For example, if you want the bench structure to begin right at the sauna doorway, a remotely controlled heater makes this possible. An embedding collar is available as an optional accessory.

The new Mondex E2 sauna heaters come standard with a stylish black remote control unit. A white version of the control unit will also be available at a later date. In addition, the E2 models include a 10‑meter control cable as standard, with the option to choose an even longer 20‑meter cable. This longer cable is especially useful for larger saunas and wash areas and offers even more flexibility when selecting the control unit’s installation location.

Whether you choose a wall‑mounted heater, a floor‑standing heater, or a soapstone heater, our range includes options with both mechanical controls and remote control units. The following Mondex sauna heater models are available with separate control: the floor‑standing heaters Rakka, Tahko, Aura, Kalla and Kaira, wall-mounted heater Teno , as well as soapstone heaters Hiisi and Louhi. Mondex’s remotely controlled heater models can be identified by the E/E2 marking after the heater’s name.
